Switch to self-hosted site–need WordPress.com to stop monitoring updates

I am now self hosted but new comments are not showing up on my new site–they are going through WordPress.com not through WordPress.org. Could you please help me out?!

Hi, I think that the reason some comments are still going to your WordPress.com site is because the commentors computers or ISPs have the old server addresses cached. They should automatically refresh and see the new addresses fairly soon, though. The process usually takes between a few hours and 2 days.
Just to be safe, though, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to deactivate the domain mapping on WordPress.com, and set your WordPress.com site to private, to avoid any confusion between the old and new sites.
You can revert your WordPress.com site back to using suzlyfe.wordpress.com at https://suzlyfe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains, and you can set the old site to private at https://suzlyfe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php.
You may also want to disable the auto-renew setting on your upgrades, so that you’re not charged for them next year. You can do that at https://suzlyfe.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=my-upgrades.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems.
Ian
