Could you please guide me as to how to switch to version 2 of Photography Classic Theme? Can I keep my current customisations with the new version?

What new version? There is only ever one version of any given theme at WordPress.com, and all upgrades and changes are handled by the staff.

Below a message that appears on my blog. However when I click the link there is not further instruction on how to start the updating process. I am dumbfounded as to how to figger this out. Anybody an WordPress PLEASE ASSIST HERE!

Hi there,

After you click the “switch now” link, you can scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you should see the new version of the Photography theme. You can click the Activate link under the Photography theme to activate it on your blog.
