switch URLs?

  i started a blog without paying attention to the URL (i was seriously distracted!) and it defaulted to my name. i’d rather the blog’s name.wordpress.com, which i have now also secured. how can i migrate everything from one over to the other? or how can i change the name of the main one (the one that is just my name.wordpress) to the URL i want? thanks!

  Hi mommamessups

  You just need to go to Dashboard -> My Blogs. On the My Blogs page, hover your cursor over your current blog address so that the Change Blog Address option will appear and then click it.

  Note this permanently and irrevocably deletes your previous URL and all the search engine power it had accrued.
