Switched Themes and my Ad Revenue Tanked

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi folks:

I switched themes several days ago (upgraded to a paid version, in fact), and while my traffic has coasted along at its usual numbers, my ad revenue has gone down dramatically (one fifth or less than it used to be).

I made a handy graphic composed of juxtaposed screen shots comparing traffic to the sudden fall off of ad revenue: Ad Revenue Tanking.

I don’t make much in ad dollars, but last month garnered over $10, which is enough for a cup of coffee and a treat! This month, at this rate, I can go back to fantasizing about a postage stamp.

I wonder if there’s some setting I missed, or something that can be done or your end so that my ad revenue isn’t permantently diminished for no apparent reason. The ads do in fact appear, just as before, at the bottom of my posts. I mean, it was a really good feeling to make an amount that I could actually feel.

Thanks for any help, and hope you’re having a splendid day.

    Yours,

    Eric Wayne

  • Hi Eric, just letting you know we’re not ignoring you — just trying to figure out what could be happening here.

Meanwhile, have you considered enabling a Cookies and Consent banner? That can help a bit with your revenue. You might want to wait until we’ve sorted this though.

Also, if it helps, here are our most WordAds friendly themes:
