Hi Richard I hope this is the right place to post my question.
I really like this theme and I would like to use it for my personal website/blog. At the moment I am using a customisation of 2014 (http://www.eliobasagni.com) but I would like to switch to something more minimal like “Illustratr”.
Is there any reason why I cannot find any place to download it? Is it supposed to be just for wordpress.com bloggers?

These support forums are only for those with blogs hosted by WordPress.COM. In particular the CSS forum is only for those with WordPress.com hosted blogs who have purchased a custom design upgrade. There is no place to download the Illustr theme because there is no version for WordPress.ORG software as yet.

@eliobasagni, most free themes at WordPress.com are downloadable from the sidebar on pages like http://wordpress.com/themes/illustratr
However, Illustratr doesn’t have a download link yet because it requires some special code support for Custom Post Types that will be included in an upcoming Jetpack plugin release. Once that’s released, then the Illustratr theme will get a download link added. You can watch http://jetpack.me/news/ for updates—there’s a subscribe link at the bottom left of the page if you want to get updates by email.

Hi there, I am building my portfolio site with Illustratr, but the menu bar is not working on the ipad…. it doesn’t display the dropdown options. Any idea how i can fix this?

apologies, i just realized my error regarding above question… once i changed the custom link to
http://
(instead of leaving it fully blank)
the menu now works on ipad. Hopefully this helps someone else! thanks again. -
Hi @bernadetteartwork, I would change it to a # symbol instead of using http:// as that will cause errors is someone clicks on it. With the # symbol if someone clicks on it it will refresh the page they are on, but will not produce any errors.

Hi, I am trying the theme for my Dancing School and I find that when I try to add one more page to the menu seems somehow impossible. Any suggestions?

Hi, I also changed my theme to illustratr and I love it! The only problem I am facing is how long it takes for everything to load. Is this problem only on my page? I hope there is something I can do because I love the layout!

Hi @sierragoerg, I checked your site and it is loading very quickly for me, even on my slower wireless connection I’m using right now. I ran a page load test at Pingdom.com and it took less than 1 second for your pages to load.
If you are still seeing problems, try accessing your site from a different connection and see if you still have issues.

Try using the +at the bottom of the page,your widget aerea and remember to write your url of the articles starting with# .i love it too.was away a couple of days

Hello @thesacredpath, I wondered if you had had any success getting widgets in Illustratr to show permanently (rather than having to expand the footer). It would be nice to be able to show, say, a Twitter feed on a homepage without having to click through. Any luck?
