Switching a website to WordPress
-
I designed a website using Microsoft Publisher and it is hosted by Aplus. I no longer have MS Publisher. Can I re-create the website as a WordPress site and host it on WordPress with the same URL?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi David,
Sure thing! You can either create a new blog (by going to the My Blogs option at the top of WordPress.com and then choosing to create a new site) or use an existing one.
Once you’re ready to make the change, you can visit the Store->Domains page (within the Dashboard of the site you’re using) and add the cofar.org URL.
There is a $13/yr charge to map an existing domain name.
Then, where you purchased the domain originally, you’ll need to update the nameservers to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com as well as continue to renew the domain registration there.
We have more detailed instructions, including a sample note you can send to your registrar’s support team regarding the nameserver update, on our support page: Map an Existing Domain.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else.
Cheers!
