Switching Away From WordPress Name Servers
-
I have the domain crucialtangent.com.
It was registered at GoDaddy and I moved the registration to NameCheap.
When I had a paid WordPress.com account, the domain crucialtangent.com was set up to use the WordPress name servers.
I no longer have a paid WordPress.com account and there does not seem to be a way to remove my domain from your name servers.
When I go to http://crucialtangent.com a page is returned with the message:
“Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”
At my domain registrar, I have tried just changing name servers away from ns1.wordpress.com, etc., but that leads to DNS not being able to resolve.
How do I get my domain away from the wordpress name servers?
Thank you for any assistance.

Hi there,
You should contact your domain provider and ask them to point name servers to their domain or take assistance from them to point it correctly.

Thanks. I had tried changing the name servers at my domain provider and it didn’t seem to work.
But, it is working now and I may just not have given it enough time. Thanks for your help.
