Switching between blog names

How can I switch blog names of blogs I already own? I have two blogs, let’s say “Popcorn” and “Movies”. Popcorn has been my main blog, but I would like to now change the address to movies.wordpress.com, but that blog already exists (I own it). If I delete Movies, then I won’t be able to use it again, correct? So how can I change my main blog, Popcorn, into Movies? Thanks for help

Hi there. I see movies.wordpress.com doesn’t have any content, so you can simply transfer your content to it from the other blog.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-between-wordpress-com-blogsAlso note that your theme, customisations and settings cannot be transferred, so you’ll need to manually change those.
If you want your followers to be moved to the other site, let us know when you’re ready and staff can do that for you.

Hi and thanks for helping out! Actually, my primary blog is popcornallu.wordpress.com, and I want to change it into leffamutsi.wordpress.com or leffamutsi.com, which I purchased. And I own leffamutsi.wordpress.com, but currently it is with no content. I tried to export my popcornallu stuff to leffamutsi, but it didn’t work. I exported and imported, and still I see the old content at leffamutsi.wordpress.com.

Did you export/import using the instructions I gave above? Maybe you mixed up the dashboards. It happens.
Go to this link and create a new export file for popcornallu: https://popcornallu.wordpress.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=export-choices
Then go to this link and import that file you just created to leffamutsi: https://leffamutsi.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=wordpress
You should receive an email once the import is complete.

Hi, I did that and clicked the links in the right order, got the email, but still I see no content at leffamutsi.wordpress.com .

I’ll tag this for staff to check if the importer for leffamutsi might be stuck. That happens sometimes. Please be patient while waiting for their response.

As I said, you need to be patient. Staff handle these threads based on timestamps, oldest ones first, and each new post in this thread actually moves it to the back of the queue, meaning it will take even longer for them to reach it. Please don’t post here again until you hear from them. They will answer it, but how long depends on how many support staff are on duty and how big the backlog is.

I’m not seeing any content in leffamutsi.wordpress.com. Did you remove it?
Is your ultimate goal to use the domain leffamutsi.com with the content that is currently on this site? https://popcornallu.wordpress.com/
If so, I can just move the custom domain for you. that won’t update the .wordpress.com domain, but you visitors will only see the custom domain, so that’s the shortest path to your goal.
Let me know if you’d like me to move the domain.

There is no content on leffamutsi.wordpress.com yet, I only have that domain and wish to move there the content of popcornallu.wordpress.com.
So yes, you can move the domain. Will the new, moved content also be then visible under leffamutsi.com, which I purchased?

Your custom domain leffamutsi.com now points to your content at popcornallu.wordpress.com. Since you have a custom domain, it’s not necessary to actually move the content.
You will keep adding content the same way you always have to popcornallu.wordpress.com, your URL has just changed to leffamutsi.com.
