switching between blogs

Hi, I recently changed my url from abbzila.wordpress.com to abzila.wordpress.com in the hopes of making “abzila” my custom domain. Unfortunately it was already taken, and I am hoping to go back to abbzilla.wordpress.com. This blog is still there (I made sure not to delete it) and I would just like to switch my blog (all content etc) back to abbzila. When I tried to export from the old site to the new one I got an email saying the import was successful but there is still nothing on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated (: Also I’m wondering if the export/import will carry over my theme? thanks!

Can you try to export the contents from abzila.wordpress.com and import it into abbzila.wordpress.com one more time? I’m not sure why the posts didn’t transfer over. Export instructions can be found here:
Let me know if the content doesn’t come over this time!
Also I’m wondering if the export/import will carry over my theme?
It will not. The export will mainly bring content (pages, posts, comments, etc) rather than design elements. You will need to setup the theme on your “new” site.

Hi yes I tried two more times today with no success unfortunately! I’m pretty sure I’m doing everything right so I’m not quite sure where it’s going wrong :L

That’s odd – for some reason, the file you’re importing into abbzila.wordpress.com is empty. Can you try the following:
1. Export the blog abzila.wordpress.com here:
https://abzila.wordpress.com/wp-admin/export.php?type=export
Make sure you select “All Content”
2. Import that file to abbzila.wordpress.com
I just gave the export a try and the file I receive is not empty so that should work!
