Switching Domains

I’d like to change me domain name to readingwithacuppa.wordpress.com however that domain is currently in use and the last post I can see was in 2015. I am aware there’s nothing you can do other than get in touch with the owner of the blog site. So if you’re able to get in touch with them and ask them if they’re willing to export/move/delete their blogs contents so that I’m able to use that domain name, it’d be greatly appreciated.

Staff won’t take an existing site from someone and give it to someone else just because they like the address. You could leave a comment on that site and hope they still have access to the email address connected to the site. If they agreed to relinquish the site then it could be transferred to your account https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
PS: You could create a site with a similar address but a .home.blog or similar extension.
