Switching Followers from .com to .org

I need to switch followers from my wordpress.com site to my new site on wordpress.org. It is the same website but just a new platform. I searched on the forums and I found that I need to file a support request but couldn’t figure out how or if there was another way. Any help or suggestions?

Install and activate the JetPack plugin please. Staff can do this for you. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

Hi there,
Since you didn’t include any URLs, I’d like to confirm that you wish to move your followers from denimdujour.wordpress.com to denimdujour.com?

Your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers have been transferred as requested.
Please note that any WordPress.com followers who opted to receive email updates will need to re-subscribe again on your new site through the Jetpack signup box, otherwise they’ll only see new posts in their Reader. Non-WordPress.com email subscribers will continue to get email updates.
You might thing about setting up a Site Redirect for your WordPress.com site at denimdujour.wordpress.com to send your site visitors to your new domain. Otherwise, people will still be able to subscribe on your old site.
