Switching from wordpress.com to .org
-
Hey guys,
A couple of months ago I transferred all of my content from Blogger to WordPress.com. Soon after, I bought my domain so instead of being http://www.thelifesnapshot.wordpress.com I became http://www.thelifesnapshot.com. I’ve recently realised that in order to fully customise my blog the way I’d like it (with the theme Oria from WordPress.org) I have to move to WordPress.org as it doesn’t seem like you can install themed on WordPress.com. What does this entail? Is it possible to move my entire domain name (www.thelifesnapshot.com) to WordPress.org if I make the switch and how much does a hosting service usually cost? I hope this made sense!

Hello,
WordPress has a guide for moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org here
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
Hosting services depend on what you want/what your needs are. The above guide does a good job of explaining it.
I notice that you already have WordPress.org with http://www.thelifesnapshot.com, so I guess you just need help moving the domain name?
If that is correct you can move your entire domain name to WordPress.org by unlocking it and transferring it.
