switching from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

I have a blog on wordpress. com (canovacreative.com) and I want to make it multilingual. I have purchase WPML,and was looking for the plugins button on my site and couldn’t. Through your support I have just found out (I’m not a technical person …) that I can’t do it with myWP.com account (am I right?) But only with WP.org.
Does it mean that if I want to make my site multilingual I need to switch to WP.org? and does it mean I need to start all over again or can I use the same site and content I was working on at WP.com. WOW this is really confusing for me :)

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s true that you can’t add new plugins to your WordPress.com site, so in order to use a purchased plugin, you’d need to move to a self-hosted site. If you aren’t sure you want to move, some WordPress.com bloggers have found success offering their site in multiple languages using the process shared below.

If that doesn’t work for you and you decide to move, you won’t have to start over. Here is the info you need on moving your site from WordPress.com to WordPress.org:

Let me know if you have any question about that!
