Switching from WordPress.org to WordPress.com

    Hello,
    I have an important question.
I am currently hosted by another Hosting Service and I’m quite happy with them.
My website is created with WordPress, and I recently found out that there’s a nice option to publish articles on WordPress.com which are visable in the Reader.
    Really nice!
The question is, can I still get access to that?
I mean, can I and my website be hosted simultaneaously by you and
    my current Hosting Service?
Please tell me, if there’s an option for me to get also in your nice community.
    Would be nice!
Best option for me would be to get the opportunities from both, so I would like
to sign for your service and stay also on my current Host.
    Is that possible?
I created here now for the free plan, am I now part of wordpress.com already?
    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You can read more about reader here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/reader/

No, your domain can only use with 1 web host. Your current domain and WordPress blog are two different sites.

Yes, you are part of WordPress.com with the free plan.

    Thank you for the reply.

But does that mean that I can not publish my articles in the reader?

Or let’s say, am I now able to publicize my articles so they can be found by members of the wordpress.com community?

Hello @thetestdummies – If your site using WordPress software is connected to WordPressdotcom via the Jetpack plugin, your posts will appear in the Reader.

You can also make it easier for your site visitors to subscribe in the Reader if you add the Jetpack Subscription widget to your standalone site.

More about this at Jetpack https://jetpack.com/
