switching from wp.com to wp.org

    I cannot for the life of me figure out how to transfer from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. I already have a godaddy domain and hosting set up for my wordpress.com, but I want plugins so I need to transfer to .org, right? I cannot figure out how to do this. I have all the wordpress files downloaded and they are all uploaded to godaddy (i think). Can someone help me?

    Yes, you have to transfer to WP.org.

    To export from here, go to Tools->Export and make an export of your blog. Then sign in to your new blog on Godaddy or wherever it’s hosted. Not this blog at Wp.com; the new one. From there, go to Tools->Import. Then from that point on you need to seek help at WordPress.ORG.
