Switching host from Bluehost to WordPress

  I’m about to switch to a business plan for my blog and I see that by doing so I’d have a free domain for one year. I have a URL through BlueHost that I’d like to use and it seems cheaper to switch to full WordPress hosting instead of paying both BlueHost and WordPress annually. Is it possible to me to transfer the URL I own from BlueHost over to WordPress? Where do I start?

  (I wouldn’t visit my blog to get any more back story. It’s been neglected for years and I want to start fresh)
