Switching my WordPress.org to WordPress.com
-
I have purchased a WordPress.com Basic Hosting Plan. I want to switch my WordPress.org content to my wordpress.com website and I need assistance. When trying to export my blog content from wordpress.com to my wordpress.org website, the file size was too big. I don’t have the skill sets or tech to split the file size so I need WordPress Customer Support to help me. Thank you.

Hi there,
I don’t see an action plan on the account you’re contacting us from. Also, are you trying to export your content from chasingcrystal.wordpress.com or import them to it?
If the import error is on a site that’s not hosted by us, then you need to either contact your hosting provider or post in the WordPress.org support forums:

I am trying to export the content from chasingcrystal.wordpress.com to import into my chasing-crystal.com wordpress website. My wordpress.com site hosted on Bluehost said the file size (WXR or .xml file) was too big to import. I need help splitting up the .xml file to import the content into the website.

So you actually want to do the opposite of the title of this thread? You already have a site with content here: chasingcrystal.wordpress.com
You want to move that content to a site elsewhere built with the wordpress.org software.
How large is the file? You usually need to have thousands of posts for the file to be too large. Have you googled for stuff like https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-split-large-xml-files-in-wordpress/
For help with sites not hosted here you’d need to register an account at
