Switching themes

  When I’m previewing different themes I’ve often noticed that some of the widgets I have in my sidebar like images, Facebook etc, are missing. Does this mean that if I switch to a particular theme then I won’t be able to have these in my sidebar? And if so, will I lose all the infomation if I do switch themes?

  For instance, I’m currently using Comet and thinking of changing to Chateau.

  When you switch from a theme to a similar one, the widgets remain in place. When you switch to a differently structured one, they move to Inactive and you drag them back to Sidebar. But to be extra sure, better keep a back up of the data you have added in widgets that accept data.

  Sorry for my late reply. Thank you so much for that, I didn’t realise they would move to Inactive. I’ll make sure to back up my data!
