Switching themes

  Ok so this is probably asking the obvious, I’m trying to transfer theme Opti from one of my sites (Eurobeatbox.wordpress.com) to a new blog (eurovisionnomad.wordpress.com), I’ve taken the opti theme off Eurobeatbox by activating one of the free themes but can’t seem to transfer opti to the new blog. Why is this? Can you help please? Look forward to your reply and thanks in advance

  Hi Peter,

  As far as I know, each of your sites has their own plans and purchases attached to them. You can see your purchases here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

  What this means is that the theme, Opti, is available only for use with the eurobeatbox site. If you’d like to use it on your new blog, eurovisionnomad, you would need to repurchase it or upgrade the site to a Premium or Business plan which would allow you access to all premium plans.

  Of course, if the Opti theme was purchased in the last 30 days, you can request a full refund from your Purchases page, then repurchase the theme on your new site.

  I currently have a free theme, but I want to purchase a premium. Will I loose all my current content on my pages when I switch?

  Hi Peter,

  No problem, I’ve removed the Opti theme from eurobeatbox.wordpress.com and added it to eurovisionnomad.wordpress.com instead (this is only something staff can do) — you should be able to customise the theme now.

  
  @gerryjo49 — switching to a Premium theme (or another free theme) won’t remove any of your existing content: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes. If there is anything else you would like to ask, please start a new thread for your question :)
