Switching themes
-
I started my blog with the Twenty Twelve theme intending to switch to the “Sliding Door” theme. If I google WordPress Sliding Door, the Sliding Door theme comes right up, but not on the theme page within WP.
So, what would be the protocol for me to install the theme Sliding Door?
Thanks,

Hello,
The Sliding Door theme is currently only available for WordPress.org.
On WordPress.com we offer over 210 themes, both free themes and premium themes created by leading theme companies. You can view all of our themes at http://theme.wordpress.com/ and filter them by specific criteria under “Find a Theme”.
You can also post suggestions for new themes we might add on our public user forum:

Thanks!

If the themes are not listed in Appearance -> Themes then you won’t be able to use them on a wordpress.COM blog, since we can’t upload our own themes. If you really want that theme, then you might want to consider a wordpress.ORG blog where you can upload a custom theme(more on the differences between the two platforms: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/). You could suggest that the theme as one for wordpress to start using, but, that’s certainly no guarantee that, they ever will.
