Switching to WordPress Plan/Host

  Hello, I have a WordPress site and HostGator hosts it. However, I’d like to tap into WordPress’s basic ‘Personal’ plan of $5/mo. How do I switch over to this service so I’m wholly with WordPress and no longer with HostGator?

  Thank you! I didn’t click on that topic when I originally saw it as my site is “other-hosted” rather than “self-hosted”. But it should hopefully work, I’ll give it a try.

  It’s the correct support page. I don’t know why WordPress.com persists in using the confusing term “self-hosted.” It doesn’t mean hosted by oneself. In WP.com-speak it means hosted by any hosting service other than WordPress.com.
