How do I point my domain to my hosting provider?
-
I own the domain fab-u-lux.com and I am trying to use wordpress.org however I am encountering the following problem:
I have uploaded wordpress to my host (godaddy.com) when I attempt to go to FAB-U-LUX.COM/wordpress/wp-admin/ to edit the site I am receiving the following message.
“fab-u-lux.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The address fab-u-lux.wordpress.com is reserved and cannot be registered, but you can sign up and choose another one.”
What do I need to do in order to use wordpress.org with domain name and be able to use the address FAB-U-LUX.COM/wordpress/wp-admin/ to edit my blog?
Blog url: http://fabulux.wordpress.com/ -
Your nameservers are actually still pointed here: http://whois.domaintools.com/fab-u-lux.com
You’ll need to change them with your domain registrar to point to GoDaddy.

I have changed them to point at godaddy:
Nameservers
Nameservers: (Last Update 5/25/2011)
NS75.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS76.DOMAINCONTROL.COMand am still receiving the same message
“fab-u-lux.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
The address fab-u-lux.wordpress.com is reserved and cannot be registered, but you can sign up and choose another one.”
when i attempt to go to the this address:
FAB-U-LUX.COM/wordpress/wp-admin/

It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, this all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.
You can watch your domain’s propagation via http://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/fab-u-lux.com
That of course doesn’t list all of the world’s ISPs, but it will at least be a good approximation.
