Switching to WordPress.org

  Hi–

  I recently created a new site with a mapped domain. However, I realized the WordPress.org is better suited for my site’s needs (particularly it’s plugin capabilities).

  I’m wondering how I would go about switching my site over to WordPress.org and if I can retain that same mapped domain (which I purchased through United Domains).

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m not particularly savvy with this stuff, so as much detail as possible would be amazing.

  Thanks @timethief . @jonesbrownlawyers , I recommend leaving your domain mapping with us in place for a while, even while the domain is pointed to a new host.

  That way if anyone tries to visit your old WordPress.com site, they’ll be automatically redirected to your new site. If you have questions on that, let us know.
