Switching URL has meant I can't access my dashboard

    Hi there,
    I recently switched the URL of my website which has caused WordPress to think I’m me from 6 years ago… and WP will no longer let me log into my new account with website linked.

    What should I do, given WP don’t have a contact facility?

    Hi there,

    What is the URL of your website? Is this for a self-hosted website using the WordPress.org software?

    You can’t just switch the URL of a self-hosted site in the dashboard – it needs to be done in the PHP and database files as well, or it breaks your site and will lock you out of your dashboard.

    We’re not able to help you fix it as we have no access to self-hosted sites, but your hosting provider should be able to. You can also try the instructions found here:
