Switching URL to another wordpress site

  Hi Guys- I want to move URL (custom domain) between wordpress sites. The problem is that I can’t do it! Too many Luddite tendancies!

  I just checked the self-help forums, and there was an answer to this exactly question.
  The happiness engineer from 2013 said that the user should just tell her what the swap was and she would take care of it!
  How happy was I to ready that? Incredibly happy!
  Except that the ticket was closed…

  So can I ask again?
  I would like to switch friendshiptree.co from friendshiptree.wordpress.com to friendshiptree2014.wordpress.co

  I’ve made that switch for you. If you are still being sent to the old site, you may need to clear your browser’s cache.

  Good job!
  I can see the switch has been made, but it is still not coming up on the custom domain.
  I’m guessing this could be something to do with propagation, but interested to know if there are some other troubleshooting tips I could use in the meantime.

  So, upon a bit more investigation, you appear to have an A Record set up to point that domain to the IP address 54.183.102.22. Without removing that A Record, this domain will never point to a WordPress.com site.

  I have removed it and I would expect to see it pointing correctly shortly.

  And in fact, I am now seeing friendshiptree.co pointing correctly to your WordPress.com site.

  Working like a charm!

  Still having some problems with socialalchemy2011.wordpress.com pointing to socialalchemy.com.
  Presently pointing to an old strikingly site that I want to replace with wp.
  Here is the discussion thread on an earlier ticket in that regard:

  I think Eric has been helping me out on the thread above, and looking forward to his response!
  My sense is the resolution to this will be simple and easy to effect.
