Switching user who pay for Premium plan?

    Hi!

As it seems impossible to get any real human help from WP even tough we´re paying for a premium plan I will try here instead.

We have a webpage, the premium plan is paid by one user. They do not want to be involved any more, and have turned of automatic renewal. We are getting a notice that our plan will disappear the 15th of October. I can’t purchase a new plan, as it wasn’t me who originally bought it, I just get the message “This product was purchased by a different WordPress.com account. To manage this product, log in to that account or contact the account owner.”

When logging in with that users account, as they can’t solve it themselves, I can’t for the life of me find any way to transfer the right to buy a plan to my account.

And reading the support guides I will be asked to do things in menus that just don’t exist.

So at the moment fairly pissed of with the “support” from WP. Anyone have any solutions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

I’ll be happy to help you with this. We can move the subscription ownership from one account to another. We just need written confirmation from the current owner.

You can ask the current subscription owner to reply here from their WordPress.com account and confirm that they’d like us to move the WordPress.com Premium plan and the Domain Connection to your account.

They can also reach out to support from their account directly, as they are eligible for live chat (on weekdays) and email support. Please ask them to do one of the above, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Hi! My wish is that the subscription of the blog lajvkonvent.se is moved from my account to patientenkollektiv. I hope that everything will go smoothly from here.
    Best wishes!

Hi @prologmalin thank you for confirming. I have transferred the Premium Plan, Domain Connection, and site ownership for lajvkonvent.se from your account to the account of the admin you mentioned in your post.

Please also note that the domain itself (lajvkonvent.se) is NOT registered at WordPress.com. It is ‘connected’ here via domain settings you added at Loopia Domains. While I have transferred all WordPress.com upgrades, this action does not transfer ownership of the domain itself. If you wish to transfer the domain registration renewal for lajvkonvent.se as well you will need to contact Loopia directly for their assistance. Thanks!

@patientenkollektiv you are now the owner of record for lajvkonvent.se as well as all upgrades. Please consider adding payment info here so that your upgrades auto-update and there will be no loss in service due to expiry: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/lajvkonvent.se/2726091/payment-method/add

Hope that helps. Please let us know if either of you have any more questions.
