Synchronizing Likes and Comments?

    Dear Support,

I have 2 blogs. One is self-hosted (wordpress.org), the other one – you guessed it – is featured on wordpress.com

The .com-blog exists mostly to preview themes .

Problem: I have some ‘like this’-hits on .com. But not one comment yet :D
But I have comments on the other blog.

I’d like to somehow synchronize both sites. Importing the likes to .org and exporting the comments to .com is the goal here.

I imported the whole content from .org, that got me the comments. And a messup of files, because some of them are slightly differing – i.e. the ones with the ‘likes’ I don’t have on my original blog.

So importing the whole backup doesn’t get me the desired result.
Merging a doublepost with like/comments isn’t possible in the dashboard.

I’ve spent half a day of re-tagging on my main site and don’t want to do that again on the .com-blog. FUN FACT: even re-importing the backup I made from the .com-site doesn’t get me rid of the double entries, I have to do that manually.

Only thing I can think of is erasing the whole blog content on .com and importing the backup from .org. That would get me the comments mirrored on both sites, but I’ll lose the ‘like’ entries. Or just killing the .com-blog for good.

The handling of two slighty different site contents is more than annoying.

    Any suggestions?

    42!
