Syncing correct LinkedIn page
-
I was able to sync my company’s Facebook page on to WordPress that I created using my Facebook account. WordPress was able to recognize that it needed my company’s page not the link to my personal profile. But the LinkedIn button is going to my profile, not the company’s (which I also created). How can I fix that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Please go to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard and disconnect your LinkedIn profile by clicking on the ‘X’ next to it. Then open up a new tab and log out of your LinkedIn profile and log into your company’s LinkedIn account. Then go back to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard and reconnect to LinkedIn Publicize.
Then you should be set! Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Can you explain what you mean by didn’t work? Even when you are logged out and logged into the correct LinkedIn account, it automatically logs into the previous account?
-
I actually just recently joined the company, and when I joined, one of my first projects was to create a LinkedIn. I was provided an email from the company and created the LinkedIn for the organization under the email I was provided. That email still recognizes as my personal profile as the main page – not the company page. I’m not sure how to change that. Does that make sense?
-
This looks like something you should contact LinkedIn about. I’m not sure how to change emails on LinkedIn. Try contacting their support team for more information.

Once you are able to separate the company page and log into that one, we should be able to get your Publicize working. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon!

Hi Grace,
I think I may have figured it out. Would you be able to check and see my site and confirm that it works?
-
I do have another question regarding the main nav – is there a way to make sure it stays on one line?
-
Hi there,
From what I’m seeing it’s connected to your Personal LinkedIn page still:
https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=195505232
I do have another question regarding the main nav – is there a way to make sure it stays on one line?
Yes, you can do this if you edit CSS. Please go to Appearance → Customize → CSS and add the following:
#site-navigation { width: 600px; overflow: hidden; white-space: nowrap; } #menu-primary-menu li a { font-size: 0.8em; }Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Hello,
I think it worked! Except my last page is still running off the page. I’m going to be adding 2-3 more pages, so I just want to make sure it can accommodate that.
-
You will have to make the font smaller. You can edit the 0.8em to a lower number – leave the em.
-
I’m apologize for having so many questions!
But I reduced the font .7 but now the dropdown no longer works after making that change. Any thoughts?
-
Sorry I didn’t see that! Please use this instead:
#site-navigation { width: 600px; } #menu-primary-menu li a { font-size: .7em; }Cheers!
-
Thank you!! You’ve been incredibly helpful.
I apologize in advance if I have more questions.
-
No no! No need to be sorry. That’s why we’re here! Feel free to ask anytime :)
Happy Blogging!

I have another question: I’m attempting to make my homepage a little more interesting by making it look more like the Goran Theme (the template I’m currently using). I found a simple image off the internet, but am having trouble making the copy seem more appealing on the homepage. Do you have any suggestions on how to left align? I’d love to make the font white and watermark the image, but when I tried that, everything seemed blurry.
-
It may be that the image is too small. For pages it says:
Featured Images for pages are 1230 wide by 1230 high.
You may need a larger image. If you would like to make your site look like the Goran Demo site, take a look at their Support guide on how:
https://wordpress.com/themes/goran/
Cheers!

Thank you for that! I’m looking for images on iStock now. Would you be able to help me create a button? I read that there is a code for that.
