syndicate views

Since yesterday, syndicated views are not showing in the stats. It means I am not getting the correct stats since my syndicated views are much higher than the on-site views.
Frankly, I believe, WordPress should include all the stats in order to assess the correct number. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you sure of what you state? I think you may need to read this support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and note https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#referrers as well as what I post below.
Our stats are not real time stats and take some time to update. There are frequent fluctuations that most do not notice because we aren’t watching the process. For details see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and here https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#views-and-visitors and note the views and viewers take hours to update.
Our stats are page view stats. But please do not assume that everyone who clicks a follow, like, share, reblog or comment link actually reads the post on your blog because odds are they may not.
Follow, like, share, reblog or comment clicks are not page views. In fact, follows, likes, shares, comments and reblogs are completely misleading when you are talking about page view stats.
Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com/Gravatar account who is logged into WordPress.com can “follow” your blog, “like”, “share” and “reblog” your posts and “comment” in several locations such as the Reader, without ever clicking into your blog and creating a single page view stat. Subscribers control how frequently they receive your posts (instantly, daily, weekly) and can comment without clicking into the blog.
Logged in visitors using a mobile can read the full post without creating a page view stat. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-reader-show-full-text?replies=31#post-1373606
You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here Dashboard > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.

Thank you very much, sir, for your elaborate response. Very much appreciated.
Nevertheless, I would like to mention that I check the stats fairly frequently. Since I have been doing so for over 7 years, I am aware of the time lapses in registering the numbers. I posted my question since I have not seen this fact, for want of better word. In the past, I think it happened once.
Now, in the stats for the past 3 days, not counting today, there were 2 syndicate visits yesterday.
If you think this is normal, I will close the topic.
Once again, thanks for your patience,

I am definitely a woman … lol :D. And, for most blogs, this is the slowest time of the year for traffic and page views.
I typed modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.
Please read the message on the yellow background at the top of this and every support forum page and be patient while waiting.

I apologize for addressing you as sir.
I was a bit disappointed only because syndicated views are twice or even thrice at times as much as on-site views. Anyway, I will wait and see.

Not to worry about the gender mis-identification. It made me laugh and we can always use a good laugh, right?

Hi there,
I am not aware of any problems regarding syndicated stats. However, please be aware that we do not track those stats ourselves, but they are provided to us by the other services that make use of our RSS feeds. If there is a problem with recording stats by those services, there is nothing we can do about it.
As @timethief also points out, it is natural for traffic to take a dip around this time of year, and it’s even more pronounced this year thanks to New Year’s falling on a long weekend.
Lastly, syndicated views are only shown on a per-post basis, so it’s not possible to see the total number of syndicated views for any particular day. It could be that the posts you’re checking right now have lower syndicated traffic while others that you’re not checking have higher traffic.

Thanks for your response. As I mentioned earlier, I have the blog for over 7 years and I am aware of the fluctuations in the number of views. I also know it is per post. Usually, when I look at the views for any given post, I just do the math and understand the total views for that post.
I do believe that there is something wrong with the syndicated views. As you since you do not manage these numbers, I think it is best I let go of it.
Thanks again.
