Syndication across multiple blogs
-
I’m not sure if this is possible with WP.
I would like to syndicate content across multiple wordpress.com hosted blogs. More specifically, I have a blog for a project I’m working on and I have my own blog. The project blog has multiple authors, but I’m basically the only author on my own blog. I’d like to be able to syndicate the content I publish on the project blog onto my blog.
There is also another use case that some members of the project work for a company and they might be interested in syndicating the content that they contribute to the project blog to their own (company) blog.
I checked the support site to see if I could find an answer, but no joy.
Any thoughts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Well, it will lower the rankings of ALL blogs involved in the search engine rankings, because search engines will rightly see it as spamming the same content across multiple URLs. So it’s not generally advised.
It’s possible here by manual copy/paste to create new posts. It’s possible elsewhere by what’s called Blog Scraping, or using an RSS feed to autopost to a blog.

Hi raincoaster – thanks for your response.
I think there is an interesting use case in which there is considered syndication which is far from spamming (as has been happening for decades in print media). I think a blog with, say 10% syndicated content and 90% original content is still valuable – I’d guess search engines should be able to differentiate between such a blog and one which has no original content.
Manual copy/paste seems like a v backward solution. Using a feed to autopost makes sense – do you know of any good tools which:
(a) have pretty good and easy to configure mechanisms to pull something from a feed
(b) makes the source of the syndicated content clear (on the syndicator, if that’s a word!)TIA!
