Syndication to Facebook no longer works

  You started to show a message recently about needing to reregister with Facebook in order to syndicate WP posts to FB. I did that today, and it seemed to accept what i did, but my post was not syndicated to FB: it does not appear on my FB page.

  It worked as usual with Twitter. Can I do whatever it was asking for again? How?
  Is there a problem that only you can deal with?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It looks like you were able to get some help with this through Live Chat. The best solution here would be to follow these steps to disconnect and reconnect Facebook:

  That link did not reflect what I found in my Settings -> Sharing:
  I clicked the x, reloaded the page, and the link did not say “Create new Facebook connection”, I just got a button with “Connect” on it.
  I then ignored all the following points, and just clicked the “Connect” button. This took me to a Facebook login, and I inputted my password. The system then said “You have successfully connected your blog to your Facebook account”. I did NOT get this when I first got your message in red about reregistering before Publishing. In addition, I got a choice of which of my FB accounts to connect WP to.
  My WP Sharing Setting now says Facebook: Connected as Lewes History Group, so I presume all is fine again.

  Steps #3-#5 here are meant to be completed at Facebook, not WordPress.com:

  Can you give those steps a try one more time? While the steps you took could be sufficient to solve the issue, this normally requires resetting on the Facebook side as well.

  Thankfully my next post appeared on Facebook, so in this case I didn’t need the steps #3-#5 to be done on Facebook.

  Do you know why you showed the message on/before 15 Nov 14 on my website about needing to reregister with Facebook in order to syndicate WP posts to FB? Was it just a glitch, or did everyone get this message?

  @qsfe8 – Everyone did not receive this message. It looks like it was a temporary glitch between Facebook and your blog settings. Reloading Facebook appears to have fixed it as it’s now working correctly. Please let us know if you experience any additional trouble!
