Syntax Highlighting for c got suddently broken?
-
I’m currently seeing that the source code posted in my entries started to look broken when I’m not logged in. I’m seeing html tags appear intermittently like:
<span class=”skimlinks-unlinked”>lst.add(list</span>>());
My blog is: http://damianpaz.wordpress.com.
It only appears to happen when I’m not logged in. So people arriving to word press by chance/search will probably see it ill-formated too.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I tested your site on Chrome’s Incognito Mode (to simulate non-logged in situation) and the highlighting worked normally.
Perhaps it’s a slight glitch on your end that can be solved with a hard refresh and or cache flush.

Hi, thanks for responding.
It’s not on my end. I just tried Internet Explorer and it happenstoo (it’s the first time I use IE for anything).
Yesterday the blog was working just fine so whatever problem WP may be having it happened today.

Oh, you’re right! Can replicate the bug now. Happens both on Chrome and IE when logged out for me, too.
Nothing much we can do but paging the Staff right now. See if they can check what’s wrong.
-
That’s the thing. I can’t find the link to feedback them this bug. Do you know to contact them?

A ‘modlook’ tag to this forum thread is usually used to ‘ping’ the Staff. I’ve done this for you, so for now we wait and see.

Thanks for letting us know. We received another report about syntax highlighting and I’ve passed both reports along to our developers so they can have a look.

Would you mind taking a screenshot of where you’re seeing this code so we can have a look?
<span class="skimlinks-unlinked">lst.add(list</span>>()); -

Ah – thanks. I didn’t notice that the extraneous code you pointed out was actually mixed right into yours. I’ve passed this along to our developers.

Yep. If I had to guess I’d say it may be some variable on the server side that’s not being initialized when you’re not logged in. Or some obscure css bug related to the ‘<‘ character. But who knows ^_^

damianpaz – could you please refresh your site and let me know if the issue is still there?
