Syntax highlighting plugin
-
I would like to be able to apply syntax highlighting to text in my posts, eg for popular programming languages. I would like to use this plugin, https://wordpress.org/plugins/syntaxhighlighter/. Please consider enabling this or something equivalent. Thanks

Hi there.
Have you tried to use it? —-> http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/posting-source-code/It’s very similar or equal ;)

Ok
That’s fine. I was looking for something like that sometime ago, but I somehow managed to miss that.
Thanks, code looks much better.

Thank you so much for pointing that out. I should have found it myself but didn’t so it is great to have the helping hand to find it. Words like a charm!

This approach works great for PowerShell and it is supposed to handle XML but when I tried XML and saved my page WP seems to have stripped out all the XML from the fragment between the code tags leaving just the contents. It is difficult to google this topic since code, tag, xml, etc generate a lot of false hits.
