tab settings for making data tables for scientific articles
-
I need to publish scientific (agronomy) data = tables of numbers (crop yields). WordPress does not have any provision to set tabs (like a typewriter) for table columns. I have dozens of articles to publish but no way to present scientific data because wordpress software will not let me create tables. The fixed article formats are too narrow and the font sizes too large to make tables. The software will not allow ‘landscape’ = wide format for large tables with more columns.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
re: HTML tables
I make my own HTML tables and there are how to posts on my blog.

http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2010/03/24/align-images-html-tables-for-wordpress-blogs/I refer my readers to http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/
And, another good reference is here http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp
Note that if you use Windows then Windows Live Writer it has a tablemaker > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/ Firefox users on Windows machines may need to clear the browser cache with ctrl+shift+del in order to get Firefox to recognize the formatting. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-of-word-files-with-tables?replies=6

SUBJECT: Data Tables for WordPress Articles

TEXT:(1) Thank you for responding to my query. I have yet to find a way to contact WordPress “hapiness engineers”.
(2) I appreciate your information but, unfortunately, I cannot comprehend the advice provided. I am not a computer programmer. I do not know what “html” is.
(3) I am old enough to be your Grandfather. I can barely comprehend my word processing program (Word 2010); most of the time it does what it wants to do, rather than what I want it to do. I have no way to fight with it.
(4) Methinks the “Happiness Engineers” are missing the point: My typewriter is easier and more convenient to use than their WordPress publishing programs. I should not have to fight with a computer in order to get it to do what I want.
(5) I have spent weeks trying many WordPress “Themes”. Each has a different appearance but all are equally useless for serious electronic publishing. Everything is “one size fits all” at WordPress.
(6) I currently use WordPress “Scrawl”. It is the least offensive theme for serious writing. That does not mean I like it. “Tolerate” is a more appropriate adjective.
(7) I am an unhappy camper — and the “happiness engineers” are doing nothing to make me feel any better.
