table of contents does not appear on cell phones

  Am using theme “bueno” for my blog. It has been retired i’m told.
  My main page has a pic and off to the right is a link able list of stories.
  The list of link able stories does not appear on smart phones. Can you recommend specific themes that would solve this problem.

  You might try disabling the mobile theme option in your settings to see if that accomplishes what you’re trying to do.

  You can access it from your Dashboard, under Appearance > Mobile.
