Table Spacing Help

    Hi everyone,

    I’m a bit annoyed as I’ve spent hours writing something and have now encountered problems when making a table. As you can see if you click the link below, there’s no spacing in between the columns. I’ve got cellspacing set to 5, but nothing shows up, and even when I messed around with different cellspacing and cellpadding numbers then previewed the post, nothing changed.

    Similarly (but not of major importance right now) is the text showing up in black. I’ll also need to put the titles in a separate row for it to look right, I assume.

    If anyone is able to help me out here, I’ll be more grateful than a normal grateful person!

    Thanks a lot!

    Possibly one more bug of Albeo… Remove the cellspacing and the width commands, and replace these:
    <td>
    with this:
    <td style="padding-left:1em;">

    For the titles you can use a separate row, with the code for headings – no need for the bold command if you do. After this:
    <table>
    insert this:
    <tr><th>TITLE1_HERE</th><th>TITLE2_HERE</th><th>TITLE3_HERE</th></tr>

    By the way, the source code of your page shows that you’ve probably been pasting form Word, which you shouldn’t be doing:

    Why not to use Word

    Thanks a bunch dude, you’re a god! The titles aren’t quite properly lined up, but I’m happy! :)

    You’re welcome.

    The titles aren’t lined up because you didn’t put them as headings in the same table but as a separate table.

    Perfect! Thanks again, being a HTML/CSS noob it’s more helpful to me than you could imagine! :)

    Tables are really, really easy in Windows Live Writer, by the way.
