Table width of Blogs – Follow Widget

    Hello
    On the widget (blogs – follow) the table width seems to be narrower than what the side bar allows. This not only looks ill-fitting but creates additional carriage returns.

    Can this table be adjusted to the width of the sidebar and reduce the space between the rank number and name as well?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there, I had a look at a post on your site and I’m not sure I’m seeing the same thing you are. This is what it looks like on my end in Firefox – the list is taking up the full width of the sidebar: http://cl.ly/image/0o0V0k0S3G3H

    Could you confirm that this is the site you’re referring to, and would it be possible to upload a screenshot to help in troubleshooting?

    Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot, if you’re not sure: http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

    You can upload the screenshot in your Media Library so I can see it. Thanks.

    Here is an image link that may demonstrate my point. (bottom)
    I’ve taken 1 link (Jon Rappoport’s Blog), reduced the space between the bullet and moved to the left inline with the Follower widget.

    I hope this gives further clarification.

    Thank you Kathryn

  • Thanks very much for the screenshot, it’s very helpful!

    Numbered lists are indented, so that’s what accounts for the small amount of space to the left of the list.

    Since you have WordPress.com Premium, which includes Custom Design, you can adjust that using some CSS.

    Try adding this code under Appearance > Custom Design. Click the CSS tab and add this completely below the existing green comments:

    .widget ol {
     margin: 0 0 0 -10px;
    }

    Click Save when you’re done.

    This should reduce the indentation on all numbered lists in widgets. If your list gets into triple digits you may need to remove this code so the numbers don’t get cut off.

    If you need further CSS help, please feel free to post in our CSS Customization forum.
