  I would like a table plug-in to easily display data.

  Well that’s a great idea @lowerthemound but since WordPress.com doesnot allow you to add your own plugin other than their choosen ones, so you cannot add that plugin. But, if you like to easily display data that you have mentioned, you can use the recent Twenty-Fourteen Theme which can somewhat fulfill your wish :D

  There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
