Tables in wordpress.com

It would be really useful to have table functionality – by plug-in or even by edit commands – in wordpress.com. Including something like tablepress functionality would be good.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

As you noted above there is no tablemaker provided here at WordPress.COM in either of the two editors and no upgrade will change that.
To create your own HTML tables see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2013/04/09/table-coding-for-wordpress-com-users/
Another good reference link is http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp
Note that if you use Windows then Windows Live Writer it has a tablemaker > http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/ Note: Firefox users on Windows machines may need to clear the browser cache with ctrl+shift+del in order to get Firefox to recognize the formatting. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/posting-of-word-files-with-tables?replies=6

You can request that a plugin be added to WordPress.com here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
Maybe if enough of us ask……

There are several table plugin’s
yes a table function would be nice – but I have been here several years and that functionality is ask for on a regular basis – and no such luck so far – I built some tables on my site with html – when I need it again I copy the code / Post then edit it – yes not as nice as just putting in the count for colls and rows

Is there any way with wordpress.com to create tables based off of csv files? I found the EasyTable plugin which seems to do exactly what I want but is on wordpress.org. Might have to cancel my subscription to wordpress.com today if there’s no way to do this…

There are some great plugins you can use. This one is my favorite: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-table/
You could use the HTLM version as well but is a bit more tedious.
Hope that helps!

@mini2umario – since Plugin’s can not be used in a WordPress.COM bog – your answer is worse than useless as it gives the wrong info to people – also this is not the first wrong info you have given
please in the future give answers that are accurate and relevant to a WordPress.COM blog

@mini2umario
Stop the name calling right now please and read this https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards?replies=1.Take note that blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. You are confusing WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on a paid web hosting service.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
