Tables in WordPress.com blogs?
-
Hi,
I’m setting up my blog using WordPress.com as the host and would like to put a 3-column, 7 row table in a few of my posts. I’ve found a few different plugins that are used for tables, but assume that I cannot use them with WordPress as the host. Is there a way that I can create a table in WordPress or create one outside of WordPress and import it? -
Sure you can create tables using plain old regular HTML, just switch to HTML view and do as it says here:
http://www.w3schools.com/HTML/html_tables.asp
Simple tables work best, the more advanced ones tend to mess up and do strange things to your design. -

That is easier, true. I’m still old school…from the time when you had to get your HTML right in order to make Netscape display anything on your website. But I do use LiveWriter, too.

Windows Live Write has a feature were you can add tables to your site
you can insert a table without any HTML knowledge…Windows Live Writer (Off Line Blog Editor)
Windows Live Writer (Over View) -
Wow,
Quite a series of quick replies! I’ll download Windows LIve Writer on my PC and give it a test drive. HTML would be a nice option too, but I’ve currently got too many irons in the fire. I’ll be back with my view of WLW in a few days. Thanks, bernie

Thanks for all of the help (so far). It looks like Windows Live Writer will do the job!
cheers, bernie
