  I know that some tag clouds (dependent on theme) don’t display in a cloud shape as such and instead, show a list format (which takes up a lot more space). is it poor etiquette to contact the theme maker to ask about this or is that something one would contact wordpress support about? I adore my theme but the cloud format isn’t ideal.

  The tag cloud is made possible by the widget made by wordpress.com staff. It works better with some themes than others where the theme coding over-rides it. Have you noted that you can click on the icon and make adjustments to font size?
