Tag cloud too many tags. need to remove selected ones

Due to total inexperience have accumulated far too many tags in the tag cloud. Desperately need to eliminate many of them.
reading the above Q and A’s seems like its an impossible situuation either not doable due to limited customisation or more to the point far too difficult a task and I’m aware that I may just inadvertantly vanish my blog in to cyberspace, Any advise would be great. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, it’s neither impossible nor too difficult.
You can go to Appearance > Widgets, open the Tag Cloud widget, and decrease the max number and/or exclude specific tags from showing, by entering their ID numbers. To find the ID number of a tag, you go to Posts > Tags and a) hover over the name of the tag and look at the progress/status bar of your browser, or b) hover over the name of the tag, click Edit, and look at the address bar of your browser.
Or you can remove the Tag Cloud widget altogether, create a custom menu in Appearance > Menus, add the tags you want to it, and add a Custom Menu widget to display that menu in the sidebar.
