  Hello there,
  Is it possible to avoid this ?
  “the most common tags will be displayed in the largest font size.”

  Is it possible to have the same font size for all the tags?
  In my blog some tags that are more important and I would need to highlight are not necessarily the most common.
  How can I deal with this?

  You can’t change the font size, except if you have the Custom Design upgrade. Without the upgrade, what you can do is remove the Tag Cloud widget, create a menu in Appearance > Menus, add your tags to it, and display it in the sidebar via a Custom Menu widget.
