Tag Community Spam
-
This morning, I decided that I wanted to add the tag photography to all of my posts. When I updated all of the posts the tag community picked up on them and there was a string of about 50 posts made by me under the tag photography.
First, I would like to apologize for this inadvertant spamming
Second, I don’t know how to fix a situation like this or prevent it in the future, but that is why I am bringing it up.

Mindseye,
I would not worry about this – it is not spamming. Give it a day or two and it will go. -
This is a classic example of a simple glitch. Not to worry, things do balance out and your intentionality is very clear here.

i’m not sure if this is a glitch. it happens every time you edit a post, so if you mass edited posts it is as if you were ‘spamming’ the tag surfer, that is if you subscribe to posts by that tag. but yes don’t worry about it mindseye because i’ve seen plenty of this happening.
this is what i’ve been complaining about in tag surfer (seeing old posts when tag surfer should be showing the latest posts, but this is due to reediting).

What I mean by glitch is that by simply using the tags as they are intended, for relevance and informational purposes, it appears that someone is tag spamming. The glitch is in the fact that this is not what they’re doing at all, yet they still appear to be guilty.

Now my new posts do not appear in the tag community at all. I have made 5 posts since, and nothing shows up in the tags.

Best bet would be to send in a feedback from the upper right of your dashboard and point out to staff that you’re having an issue and explain to them what occured.
