Tag following function does not work

There’s a function to follow / unfollow articles with a specified tag in the reader.
This function does not work properly anymore.
I cannot add tags to follow and I cannot remove tags from following.
(controls at the left column at https://wordpress.com/ )The controls seem to work, but it has no effect.
Software: Firefox 39 with all scripts allowed (NoScript disabled)

Hi there,
I tested this in multiple browsers (Firefox 39.0, Chrome Chrome 44.0.2403.125, and Safari 8.0.7) and I can follow a tag in the Reader in all of them. I also tried with an account using German in case the problem only occurred there, but it also worked that way. Are you still having trouble with this?
If you are, please describe the exact steps you take to try to follow a tag, and include the tag you are trying to follow. That will help me investigate the problem further. Thanks!

Occasionally the tag follower does not respond for me either. Refreshing the page or trying again in a few minutes usually solves the problem.

The bug occurs again, and it is more curious than reported.
I try to explain:
1) Following: pressing “+” Button has no visible effect. The word stays in the input field and it will not be added to the list of the followed tags.
2) Unfollowing: pressing “x” results in a short time removing of the tag from the tag list, for about one second, then it re-appears in the list and stays there.
3) If I re-call the reader a while later (= some minutes or hours, …), then the tag list is correctly updated. This does NOT work, if I re-call the reader immediately (= some seconds) after following/unfollowing.
The function seems to work delayed in a unknown manner. -
Thank you for providing all of those details. Does this happen every time you try to add a tag, no matter when you add it or what tag you are adding?
If it only happens for specific tags, or if it only happens some times and not others, please let me know. I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem you describe, so I am still trying to track down what could cause the kind of delay you’re experiencing.

I think, it happens everytime, but I’m not 100% sure. (see my comment from August 9th, where anything seems to be fine)
Testing today again, the bug occured and it was reproducable with several tags.

Thank you for those details! I reported the issue to our team with the details you mentioned. I don’t have a timeline for when they will be able to investigate the issue — it seems to only affect some people and not others, so it may take some time to sort out why that is happening.
