Hello, I am trying to include a
<script>tag in a custom HTML block on a WordPress.com site that has an active Business Plan. However, when I save the page, the<script> and </script>tags are stripped out. Is there something else that needs to be enabled for this to work? -
Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us. You will need to activate the hosting features before the script will work. Please click here and follow the instructions to activate it.
Once done, you will be able to insert the script onto your website. This will allow you to integrate the desired functionality or tracking on your WordPress.com site.

@aisajib Thank you, that worked! I’m not sure if that was available in any other online documentation, but if not, I might suggest adding it. (I had previously checked the “Add Code to Your Site” and “Custom HTML Block” support pages. The latter says “Including code that embeds or references Javascript will not display as expected,” which wouldn’t be accurate for certain plans, and links to an “embedded Javascript” section on this page, which no longer seems to exist.) Other than that, I think we’re all set for our site.
