Tag issue in Pressrow…

Hi there! I’ve searched the forums but haven’t found anything on this particular subject…When I add tags to my posts, the tags are also placed under the tag cloud on the right…I’m new to wordpress, any tips here appreciated.

That’s automatic and is working the way it ought to work. If your readers click tags in the cloud they will be directed to the posts you assigned the tags to. Please share with us what concerns you about it?

What isn’t “normal” about your tag cloud is that al the only tags that ought to be displaying are those that have been assigned to posts and they all uoght to be linked to posts. Your tags aren’t linked. Your blog needs Staff intervention http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks timethief! I think I know what I did wrong. There is a widget for tag cloud and I entered the tags there instead of just using the actual tags at the end of posts. Thanks again for your help/time!

You cannot enter data directly into the Tag Cloud widget. The only thing you can enter into the Tag Cloud widget is a Title and that’s it.

@tt: That’s it indeed! nursingbling has added “tags” in the widget title.
@nursingbling: You add tags to posts, not to the widget. Then the widget displays those tags.
And the tags must be characteristic and meaningful: do you think anyone will look for posts related to “to”?

I use the Category Cloud widget because we can configure it:
Max number of categories to show: ___
Minimum font percentage:___
Maximum font percentage:___
___Count sub-categories in parentI don’t use the Tag Cloud widget at all because we cannot configure it. All we can do is give it a title, at our own peril, as you describe above.
