Tag line

Hi my Tag line is not appearing on google? It’s just got the name but no description beside it.. Also the wordpress ‘buy theme’ is appearing on the rankings before my site…

When I type in a place it only comes up with my venue and fees page but I’ve added these keywords onto my homepage, I don’t really want the first page clients to see being fees how can I alter this please?

    Many thanks x

    Hi there,

Please note that WordPress.com has no control on how your site appears in the Google index and in which position.

WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. However, search engines can take 4 to 6 weeks (or more) to add any new sites.

For more information about WordPress.com and search engines, please see this guide:

    Search Engines

That being said, when I searched your site on Google this is what I got:

I found that fees came up third behind your site and your contact page. :)

    Cheers!

The link to the screenshot? It’s just an image of my screen when I Googled your site. Try this out:

Please note that having a tagline is always helpful, but it’s probably not going to have a huge impact on your ranking. Long-term, the thing to focus on is building readers and getting links by having high-quality content. This post may also help:

How do I get more views and traffic?
