Tag line(s)

Is it possible to have three lines in the tag line without inserting hyphens?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, this is a yes, and a no sort of thing. We can use CSS and some pseudo selectors to add a bit of text before and after the site description, but the caveat is that although this will appear for visitors to your site, search engines will not see the added text, so if you split your tagline into three parts, the only part the search engines will see will be the center section, which might not make any sense to those that happen to see it on a search on a search engine.
.site-description:before { content: "This is a first line"; display: block; } .site-description:after { content: "This is a third line"; display: block; } -
Thank you for your help! This solution works, however, I am not able to remove the last word on the second line – AN. This word should be on the third line. Is there a way to move AN to the third line as well?

I am just going to start a blog. I uploaded the picture I want of my wife, but the site title and tagline obscure her face. How can I mvoe the site title and tag line to either a corner or under her face. Thanks.

Hi @sarahsdiary2017, since you are using a different theme, and since CSS is generally theme specific, can I ask you to create a new thread in the CSS Forum? Many thanks in advance.

@ndhssite, you should be able to simply edit the tagline at Customize > Site Identity and keep only the text you wish in that field and click Save & Publish. If you can add the CSS, edited for your content, and edit the tagline and then if there is still a problem, let me know and I can take a look at things for you.

It is working on the edit side; however, when I go to the view page, I don’t see the second or third lines.

Thanks for your input, but I am not too computer savvy. I want to keep the text I have in the site title and tagline. The problem is that the text in both places covers up my wife’s face in the header. I want to move both texts in the site title and tagline to a different position in the header–such as under her face or in one of the lower corners. Is this possible? I know I can uncheck the box that displays both of these and remove the text totally, but I want the next somewhere in the header, just not covering her face. Thanks.

@ndhssite, at Customize > Site Identity, in the Tagline field, you need to have the second (middle) part of the text. If nothing is included there, that html div for the site tagline does not get generated, and since the two added lines are dependent on that tagline div, they also will not appear.

Thank you!! I put spaces in the site identity line and the words that I wanted in the two tag lines now appear! Check it out!
