Tag page summaries not understood by readers
-
Hi. I use tags and then link to these to create simple summaries of main themes on my blog. However, I have heard from several readers that they are confused when they see the summaries as they do not realise that they need to click on a post title to display the whole post. They see a title and a couple of lines of text (I use Excerpt) but they need to click on the title to display the entire post.
You could say that they are unaware of how to use a brower and so on but the fact that more than one reader has raised this with me points out that this is an issue, and afterall we are in the business of being good communicators. It’s our duty to make our writing and navigation intuitive.
So – would it be possible for a simple ‘Read more’ link to be added to a summary list of posts listed under a tag? Or is there an existing solution that I’m not aware of? Is it an issue only with the particular theme (I’m using zBench)?
Thanks for your interest

I agree this would be an improvement, which you should suggest to staff via your dashboard Help button.
In the meantime:
Why don’t you just change to a theme that shows entire posts on the tag pages? Panos has created a list of them at http://wpbtips.wordpress.com -
